The suburb of West Hoxton west of Sydney is one of several new suburbs which were developed in the 1990s to combat Sydney's growing urban sprawl. With Lake Albert and several local schools the suburb is a favourite with young families and has a distinctly multicultural profile including significant Arabic, Indian and Italian communities.
