Named in honour of the naval officers who lost their lives in the HMAS Voyager tragedy in 1964, Voyager Point alongside the Georges River in Sydney Western Suburbs began as a rural farming area. Formerly part of the Holsworthy Military Barracks site, Voyager Point was one of several western Sydney suburbs which has undergone significant residential development since the mid 1990s.
