This town on the far south coast of New South Wales was originally established in the 1880s as a port town, servicing the surrounding timber mills. As a community developed, fishing and oyster farming would prove lucrative industry for Narooma, and the town is today a favoured spot for fishing enthusiasts visiting the South Coast.
