To PlacesLocated just outside the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park north of Sydney, the leafy suburb of Mount Colah is part of the land traditionally occupied by the Guringai Aboriginal people. Settlement in the area followed the extension of the railway line through the suburb in the 1880s and despite commercial land use, Mount Colah has remained a primarily residential area. The suburb takes its name from a Guringai word which means 'anger'.
