To PlacesLocated on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, Fingal Bay was first settled in the mid 1800s by fishing communities. The small island outcrop attached to Fingal Bay by a sandbar was chosen as the best location for the Port Stephens Lighthouse which was constructed in 1862 and remains the defining feature of the shoreline today.
