To PlacesThe small town of Boggabilla sits on the border of New South Wales with Queensland on the banks of the Macintyre River. Taking its name from a local Aboriginal word meaning 'a great chief was born here', Boggabilla has remained a farming community since cattle farmers came to the region in the mid 1800s. Livestock farming along with cotton and wheat crops account for the majority of land use in the Boggabilla district.
