To PlacesThe small town of Bilpin is located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains and is famed for its apple orchards. Bilpin takes its name from one of the area's first explorers, Archibald Bell, who used the knowledge of the local Aboriginal people to find an alternative route across the Blue Mountains to that already traversed by Gregory Blaxland, William Wentworth and William Lawson a decade earlier.
