Department of Lands records show that William Minchin was also granted 280 acres in the area of Agnes Banks on 11 August 1804. Suburb boundaries Proposed Hawkesbury City 09-NOV-1998.

Named after Andrew Thompson's mother, when Thompson was granted 78 acres on the banks of the Nepean River in 1804, by Governor King. (Place names & origins in Penrith, Penrith City Council, 1982).
