Wallaby
To AnimalsWallabies are part of a small group of mammals called Macropods. Sharing many simlilar characteristics to the Kangaroo, they are distinguished by their relatively smaller size, preference for rock dwellings and the variables of their species including bushy tails and darker fur. Found in both woodland areas and the arid plains of western New South Wales, there are several wallaby species facing extinction today. These include the long haired Brush-Tailed Rock Wallaby and the once common Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby.
