Possums

These delightful nocturnal marsupials are characterised by their mousy copper-hued fur and pointy ears. There are a number of possum species which can be found in New South Wales including the ring tail and gliding possums. However, the one most acquainted with all corners of the State is the curious brush tail possum. Often the bane of the city dweller, this possum has adapted to modern city life remarkably well. Unable to find enough tree burrows in which to nest they have taken to setting up inside the roofs of houses, becoming something of a pest in modern day New South Wales.
