This grey-headed native bat can be found along coastal regions of New South Wales. Easily recognised by their collar of rust-coloured fur and black bodies, these herbivorous bats are often referred to as Fruit Bats. They're known to fly great distances at night to find fruit and pollens to feast on, often causing quite a lot of damage to fruit crops. These bats are now considered a vulnerable species.
