The St Bartholomew's site is closely linked with the development and history of the surrounding area and contains the graves of a considerable number of prominent families from the area since the 1840s. The church is unusually styled for its period and the graveyard is one of the earliest in western Sydney. St. Bartholomews remains a dominant landmark in the surrounding landscape due to its prominent siting, striking design and mature tree plantings.
